Who are they

It really scares me when I stand here with my hand held out, full of money, and people try to hide from it. Merchants know that I'm out here with money and they know that I'm going to spend it somewhere soon. Why aren't they groveling or begging for it? That's what I do for money. I cannot respect anyone who doesn't.

I'm not saying that I trying to give money away - that's not me at all. That's not me or my Mom or my relations or anyone I hang out with. I'm just saying that sales people nowadays seem to go to great lengths to make it hard for me to give them my money. Poor service is one thing and so obvious and rampant that I'll not waste your time talking about it (this time). What I'm complaining about today is that group of stupid merchants who don't even want to tell me what the heck they're selling.

They build a fine looking business with very attractive colors and signs and parking spaces but they don't bother to tell anyone what goes on inside. How many places of business can you think of which have a sign out front that doesn't give you any hint about what they're selling? A bunch I'll bet.

Why do they do that?If I am at this end of a shopping center and I see a sign way over there which says something like "Gloria's". I don't know what that means. What the heck is Gloria thinking? That I'll walk clear across the parking lot just to see what's inside? Sorry, I'm not going to do that. It's probably full of arts and crafts which would only make me feel sick anyway.

Even if Gloria sells exactly what I'm looking for, she wouldn't get my money. I don't want to give money to someone who tries to sell in secret. People who sell in secret are the type of people who get watched by the F.B.I.Why don't they make a sign that says "Glorias' - Arts and Crafts and Not For Bob Store". What's so hard about that? I couldn't give them my money because I don't support stupid. That idea comes from Ms Donna. I respect her greatly and she can't stand stupid so I need to back her up on that.

I think this is a problem generated when we let those hyphenated Americans inside our borders. They must be hyphenated Americans (Polish-Americans, Afro-Americans, Cuban-Americans) they can't possibly be true one-word Americans (Whites, Blacks, Hispanics, Okies, Texans) because if they were, they would never make it hard for me to give them my money.

One-word Americans are glad to take my money even before I offer it. Now those are true Americans, not like these wimpy Gloria's-type storeowners who have no respect for greed. Those people seem to think that I'm going out of my way to get over there and write them a check. They make me think they're some of those people who believe everyone owes them. They probably lean on the counter inside Gloria's and complain all day about how the economy's so bad that no one ever wants to shop there. When really we're all wondering around out here being offended by someone who has a beautiful store and no brain to run it with.

I need to make a Web site. Call it WHAT THE HELL DO YOU SELL.
I could start a consulting business. "Just tell me what you do and I'll name you for you."
We could encourage their business by travelling the city late at night and hanging signs saying "ANOTHER STUPID PEOPLE STORE". You wonder how they get the money to even have a store.
