So what does that mean? 99.9%?
"Kills 99.9% of germs".
Why does it never kill 100% of germs?
What is that point one percent that's so hard to kill? Is that some super germ? Something we should worry about? I mean, good gawd, is there really a percentage of germs out there that can't be killed? Not by anything that the U.S.A. can muster? What if all those point one percent of germs get together and decide to attack us? Will it be impossible to stop them?
I've heard that any germs that survrive a chemical attack will quite probably be immune to that particular chemical in the future. So are we creating an army of germs that can survive any attack from anything? Germs that can ultimately take over the world? How will we fight them? Kill 99.9% of them? So what'll they do? Germs have oodles of successful sexual partnerships. They reproduce by the billions overnight. So you kill 99.9% of them today and what happens first thing in the morning? You've gotta kill 99.9% of them all over again.
Just think if you put out only 99.9% of a fire.
Kiss your ass goodbye because sometime soon there's going to be a new fire.
After thinking about it I can now understand why they only kill 99.9% of them. It's called planned obsolesence. Just like rubber tires or crappy toasters or cheap shoes, you can't completely give the customer what they want. You've gotta give them what they want for a short time but not forever. If you make batteries and suddenly start selling a battery that never runs low then pretty soon everyone has one and nobody is looking to buy new ones. So you've gotta be careful to not be too perfect so that the customer can be there some time in the future to buy more. If you kill 100% of the germs then pretty soon your germ killing services are no longer needed. So it's best to kill only 99.9% of them.
When I retire I'll start right away in a laboratory out back. I'll set the task of discovering a chemical that will kill point 1 percent of germs. That way, no matter what poison you buy to kill whatever you are trying to kill. You can always come to me to clean up that .1% of a mess that you'll certainly leave behind.
THEY KILL 99.9% OF GERMS. CALL BOB TO GET THE REST.
