Go to Hell

That pastor of the Westboro Church (those 'Christians' who picket military hero funerals saying that soldiers deserved being killed) has recently said that Obama is going to hell. The Westboro people say that just about everyone except them, is going to hell. They're not the only ones. A lot of people are saying that a lot of people are going to hell. Shoot, just the other day, after I got onto the expressway, a little lady rolled down her window and yelled at me to get myself to hell.
We use the phrase like it was "Go jump in the lake" or "Go (do something sickening to...) your mother". But "Go to hell" is much more important than other phrases we can toss around. Shoot hell sounds to me like a very bad place. According to biblical literature it's a place where people are burned and forced to drink scalding water and they are tormented by demons constantantly and there is much wailing and teeth gnashing (assuming you still have teeth after centuries of drinking scalding water). Hell aint too cool. That sounds much worse than nasties with your mother or swimming in the lake.
Hell, as opposed to heaven is supposed to be very bad. Heaven very good. Though how many real people will actually enjoy heaven, where you are eternally expected to be good and pure and loving and eternally boring. Each to his own I guess.
I guess we're all going to find out.
All of us are going to hell.
It's a fact.
See. According to western religion (the only religion I know), God (or Allah, whichever you prefer) met Moses on the side of some mountain and gave him a book. I'm not talking about the 10 commandments, this is another book at another time. That book later came to be called the Torah. It's the first 4 books of the Bible. The Torah is referred to many times in the scriptures as the laws of Moses.
God gave that to Moses and therefore the people of earth.
The Torah was studied and debated and other ancient writings were also studied and debated and Christians gathered that Torah together along with a number of other choice books which they are certain came from God and created the Bible. The Bible they created had within it a New Testament. That New Testament talks about Jesus.
It seems pretty clear that Jesus explains to everyone that the only way to get to God and therefore, to heaven, is through Him. So if you accept Jesus you will go to heaven. If you refuse to accept Jesus you will go to hell.
Later. Mohammed was caused by Allah (Or God, whichever you prefer) to write a new book that reinforced and reitereated the Torah. That new book was the Qu'ran, which tells the Arab world that the Bible is true in all ways except where it suggests that Jesus is God. The Qu'ran says that Jesus was a great prophet and was infused with the Holy Spirit but is not a son of God and God has no sons and God is Allah.
The Qu'ran (words directly from God) and the Bible (words directly from God) each say if you don't choose their way then you go to hell. They say if you do choose their way then you go to heaven.
Either way. No matter which way you choose.
You're going to hell.
Have a nice day.
