We had a weatherman here in Tulsa for many years and people trust him. I don't know why people would trust a weatherman since they seldom tell the real truth. Sure they finally do get around to telling you what the weather's really going to be, but only after spending days guessing because it's so impossible to know what's going to happen here until it happens. You might promise beautiful spring days for days only to rush on to the screen in the middle of somebody's soap opera commercial to warn them that an ice storm is coming or a world war three tornado is chewing up the street.
Anyway he retired. The weatherman did. Since he knows weather so well and since he knows Oklahoma weather so well he decided to go into business selling little tornado rooms. Places where you and the family can run and slam the doors and hide from the danger outside.
I think it's a great idea. A fine way to supplement his retirement.
Gave me ideas too.
I'm retiring soon and I need a business for myself. Like our second-career weatherman, I too have an expertise that I can also sell little rooms for. I want to start a business where I can build little rooms where people can go during stressful workdays. The room should be easily accessible to all personnel and should have soft walls, ceilings and floors and it needs to be totally soundproof.
We can call it the scream room.
When the workdays, piled on end, start crushing you down and you feel like you can't breathe or think or respond correctly in any way. Visit the scream room. Blow your lungs out. Feel good for a change.
When the upper bosses blame you for their losses, hit scream room.
When the powers that be won't let you free, visit the scream room.
Don't curl up and die, face life eye to eye after taking a break in the scream room.
I'll make millions.
Sell them around the world.
See? You already think it's a good idea.
